It has been a sad time for many friends of Ron Fanelli around the poker community. Many people have been left asking the questions “What went wrong? What made him do this?” Ron Fanelli has now confessed to the murder of a women in Thailand.

Fanelli is a bit of a loudmouth and most people know this. His rumored nasty treatment of women likely a little more hidden, but not surprising to those that knew him it seems. All poker players are in shock that “one of us” could do such a thing. The fact though, is that for Pianchai Wanphen, a prsostitute from Thailand, Rons tournament wins and larger-than-life personality mean nothing: she’s dead because of the man.

Ron moved to Phuket with his partner. She left him and he found himself with another Thai woman which he married and bared a child with. His short temper came to light when she left him because of his current inability to support his family. He began seeing prostitutes and hostesses at Thai nightclubs. Maybe they satisfied his sadistic streak. Maybe they did things he wanted in ways nobody else could. Who knows what drove Fanelli to this point. People globally are saying POWER.

Fanelli’s seemingly addiction to power led him to murdering one of these women who were just trying to make some money the only way they knew how. Finelli stabbed Pianchai Wanphen, then chopped her body into pieces that would fit inside of a suitcase that he left in an isolated spot. It is a very sad thing to think of, none the less it has happened and is now further reported to women in poker.
